III,9 - LOGICK is derived from LOGOS which means both thought & language, hence is an Egoic science, or Science of the Spiritual which enters man by way of his head. The head is nearest to the source of the spiritual in any form. Plants have their proximate spiritual in the ground, hence their head is their roots. Their Ego dwells in the center of the Earth & is therefore nearer to the Earth's Ego than that of animals whose Ego is in the periphery. This is why vegetarianism, but which however is derived from a limited viewpoint which does not realise that the material is only a small part of the whole. Ordinarily the spiritual is in the direction of attenuation & the material that of density, where a rising & descending nomenclature is applied. Logick tells you what to fix & what to leave volatile & a number of other things. Logick is merely purified language. Language is the expression of the Ego. The Higher Ego is called the Word. The nature of the .'.Daimon is in Its Name.
Names have two sorts of meanings. They refer to concepts & thus have connotation or content or intent & they refer to outside things & so have denotation or extension. Thus the content & the extent & the thing itself are mutually related. You have a mental picture or idea of a house & you have the word "house" & there is the house. The words you use can apply to external realities with exactitude in the same proportion of exactitude they display in expressing the corresponding concepts. The Community brings the ordinary Ego to birth by teaching it to SPEAK. The Higher Ego dwells in the common Ego or that developed by the functions of the group. By studying Logick one learns to purify & consecrate ones language so that the Higher Ego can be born into the physical world. The powers of things reside in their true Names, what they are called by the Gods. The Head is the specific organ of TRUTH. Truth is the Egoic form of the Higher Ego, just as Beauty is its Harmonic or Middle form & Good is its Rhythmic or Active Form. The ordinary Ego deals with a minute dilution of Truth on account of its personal viewpoint. The more impersonal, general & universal are our statements the nearer they approach to the Spiritual & so contain Truth. Yet the Universal cannot be wholly incarnated except in the Individual because the nature of individuality itself is the spiritual nature. The Higher Ego is synonymous with Spirit. Its Head is Truth, the Word, the Universal which is the only spiritually real whereas the Particular is the physical reality. Consequently the Spiritual Progress is in the direction of Individualisation or Particularisation.

With the coming of CHRIST this was changed so that now societies do not have to be endogamous.
Before CHRIST it was possible to attain to the TRUTH only when it was sought in
